Not worth the prices. Mega CD games are easily backed up and easy to emulate.
12:26 I love this music. I have it in my Ipod…. My Mega-CD have reading issues, so I play my games on a RPI3. I also have Sonic CD and Final Fight but in japanese. The japanese Final Fight is unsensored!!! The best version for sure.
I bought my megadrive 2/mega cd 2 combo with 2 controllers, 2 mega cd games and all the cables for £15 on ebay 12 years ago, I still play sonic cd, but the games so expensive now
Final Fight on Sega CD was kind of a big deal back then especially with Guy. That's all I'm saying.
I've got the final fight music in my car. Ps emulations or not its always best played on the real deal.
Fun-fact: Mega-CD/Sega-CD also plays and displays karaoke CDs so you also have yourself a karaoke machine.

The model 1 system and CD is still to me one of the most bad ass looking combos I've ever seen.
Right along with the SuperFX and the first FZ-1 3DO made by Panasonic.
there is new psu with a brick and 3 connector (MD/MCD/32X). That a blessing to not have 3 power supply that take to much place.

Nope. Fuse will keep blowing. I'll stick with my Mega Everdrive Pro's FPGA Mega CD and my very legal disc images.
Mega Drive model 2 supports stereo out through the mini din.
Something goes wrong, about Megadrive 2 sound output…by rear port, it's stereo and not mono…
Only model 1 has this problem….
But model 2 is cheaper than Mondel 1…but has stereo output!!!

it looks like is a upgrade on sound changing from the yamaha ymf sound chip from sega genesis to a yamaha xg midi module/midi synth. maybe it is incorporated on the cd part.

I've recently stumbled on to my old Sega Mega Drive 2 from Singapore, while clearing the storeroom with my Dad. So happy that it's an authentic real deal Mega Drive 2. Now I want to get the Mega CD 2 add-on.

The Sega megadrive is my favourite console of all time ( original model is best) , seeing you do a review on this system was great fun. Also with the best titles to play. Yes sol-feace is a great shooter on the mega CD. Awesome video wicked 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👍. Its sounds beautiful and looks great . my 1st time hearing final fight CD soundtrack , its awesome. I want one 😁
I found a mega cd 2 in a charity shop recently for 4 pounds funny looking at the prices people are selling them for online i have a question do i need to have both power supply bricks plugged in or just one its weird i cant get a straight answer looking online
Nooit een Mega CD gehad, maar eergisteren een mooi exemplaar (inclusief de Megadrive II) boxed op de kop kunnen tikken. Een paar games zijn al onderweg. Net als jou ben ik eerder fan van het eerste model vd Megadrive (ook puur jeugdsentiment), maar ik kijk hard uit om es m'n tanden in die MCDII te zetten. Mooie vid! Groeten uit België.

How is it worth buying when now you can just hack the games second it’s no longer the most powerful consoles the time has past by were in 2022 with the PS5 Xbox series X Nintendo Switch that can play these games even better go buy the Sega Genesis Mini for $79.99 then just hack it you can find other hardwares that reads Sega Genesis cartridges plus can read NES and Super Nintendo cartridges 3 in one

Not sure if anyone has already mentioned it but the Megadrive 2 has stereo sound built in, not mono. Shame they dropped the headphone jack though. At least they put stereo via the AV out, that's why it uses a different AV port.
