About 5 hours in I can say that the world is a bit empty, but I still love the farm a lot 😊
I have bought this game and find it very NOT cozy and actually really stressful and in some ways really difficult. And that is without the switch glitches. I can’t do the goat dreams, can’t cook… I can’t advance my quests. I’ve put lots of hours into it and just didn’t want to turn it on today.

The cooking on Switch is infuriating, I give up. Either they fix it or I won't cook at all, or I'll give up on the game.
So, this is the second review of the game I've watched today, and honestly, this one was more useful to me in 10 seconds than the entire other review was, so thanks for that, heh.
While I've occasionally gone animal heavy on my farms in Stardew, the animals in Story of Season can get pretty annoying for me, and this seems closer to SOS for animals, with it even being the main focus, so the game is definitely going to be pass for me. I did like the idea of the dog, though. Probably would've went with a chow.
The other review mentioned that the gameplay they were showing was after the day 1 patch and didn't really mention any bugs, though.
I played the demo on my Steam Deck and found it pretty clunky and frame-y so was on the fence. Looks like it runs pretty well on Switch though, and there's currently a pretty sweet "owners" sale.
Wondering with the minigames though, I'll be playing handheld only, and they look like they use the joycons detached. Is there settings for these, or does it change if you're in handheld? TIA!
I buyed it and love it. I played a lot, have fun, build new shelters and fields and was happy. and than, with one quest, for me the bugs came. hope they will fixed it asap. dog and cat can't train anymore, so there are useless atm. I haven't problems with performance or motion sickness. now I'm afraid of playing forward, because so many people have trouble with savegame errors or crashes in later game. I'm sad, really sad 😢
As a man, I have zero shame in admitting that I have an affinity for cozy little farming games as such but god… It kills me that this game is somewhat of a bomb on switch… There is nothing I want more than a solid sim like game for the switch that I can play with a significant other or friends. Ill sit tight until the bugs are worked out… I cant wait for Palia tbh. Great vid btw. Liked & Subbed!

So far, looking past the bugs on the Switch, really enjoying this game & the slow pace. The biggest things for me at the moment are the controls & motion sickness.
u r slowing down bcz u run throuhg bushes.. has nothing to do wiht being buggy… ^^
I'll definitely wait for a major sale before getting it. The lack of a town and relationships is a big turnoff for me. But it seems like it would still be enjoyable, so i don't mind getting it on like a 50% off sale.
It's the best farming game out there. It looks so good on switch.

Can you play the minigames without motion controls?
I bought this for Switch and although I love the cozy cute aspect of the game but I am disappointed that your energy runs out so quickly making it tedious. Also some parts of the gameplay are so tricky to master, especially cooking. It’s a bit clunky in areas so I am not sure I want to continue playing for now.
I don't recommend buying this on switch yet. Too many bugs right now. Also save crashing constantly
Where is the storage chest?
This game is giving me Yonder the Cloud Catcher Chronicles vibes and I love it.
I will probably wait about getting it though, bugs don't bother me much but I think it will be even more enjoyable to play after a few updates. Not to mention I don't want to have another situation like I did with the console version of My Time At Portia where it only updated to a certain point… If I was a PC player it would be fine but I'm not so yeah I'ma wait.

The lag in this game on Switch is unacceptable. It's virtually unplayable, IMO. Hoping it gets patched soon.
