I've said this on other channels but the esthetic of the Sega Genesis model 1 and the black box grid motif was so cool. It still is. Second only to the Neo-Geo in my opinion. I wish they would have kept it that way for consistency. It really felt like you were getting something special back in the day.

Great video Wicked. Love me some Sega. Question for you. When you were going through the controllers you had the aftermarket 16 bit ones. How is that controller? I always need good controllers and was thinking about trying one of the cheaper third party ones. Thanks Wicked!

I used to own a Sega Nomad and a Sega CDX. Both were pretty cool.
It's always the best to have the real hardware and the real games to collect cause it feels like Christmas of the 90s good thing I have my Sega Genesis and still play it I'm never selling it ever again this console keeps me happy then other consoles I had own

Those European/USA Sega arcade sticks were a POS, the Japanese and Tectoy versions had microswitched joysticks, while euro/usa had rubber grommets.

Finished a Japanese full set in 2001, back when no one had interest in this stuff and most of it was still dirt cheap. Same for JP Saturn in 2003 and JP DC in 2007. I'd REALLY hate to get all the stuff now, with those prices. The retro market is in ruins, isn't it?

The USA SEGA CD game pack for some unknown, totally unnecessary exclusion of 2 player mode in Golden Axe. Just an FYI!

The 5 in 1 games on the Mega cd does have changes. SoR and Monaco GP have different sound effects, Golden Axe has the arcade soundtrack, but no two player option. Can't remember what changed in Revenge of Shinobi.
Sol Feace, Dune, and Road Rash are the only reasons to own it really,.. and Batman Returns,.. sewer Shark is fun af too..
As i know the Sega CD 1 wasn't released in Europe only Sega CD 2 in 1993.

I love the Mega Drive, the CD & even the 32x!
I have every single one of those consoles and they all suck and I am a Sega Fanboy but let's just be honest there's really no difference when it comes to any of those consoles they all look the same aa the Sega Genesis or Sega Mega Drive and some SNES titles look way better than all the machines combined
