Omg the 12:30 mark in, when they were dancing to that music part I was laughing so hard. Such a good thing to throw in to take away from the anxiety of the dark parts of the game. This made my day 😂😁

For those who may not completely understand the story, I made a short summary below from other comments I've read and from my own interpretation:
In 1979 HsinHui (Ghost Lady) was dating a guy (Chen), but got preggo. Her family has a prestigous background so they would never approve of their marriage or baby. Chen proposed that they get married unofficially and elope at a promised time/location. Ghost lady went to the bridge and waited for Chen, but he got the wrong time and didn't show up. To make things worse, there were 5 guys nearby that ended up raping her (photo of them in her room with "damn you" and the picture on the strawdoll during the final fight). Chen found out about the news later and took his own life. The feeling of betrayal and the whole ordeal turned the Ghost Lady into a violent spirit and exacted vengeance on the 5 guys.
The school covered up the story and found a taoist priest to seal the bridge as they were unable to exorcise the Ghost Lady due to her power/rage.
In 2012, HsinChaio (PTSD Girl) with her best friend YuChing (BFF) and 4 other members took part in the Kimodameshi (test of courage) event. PTSD girl accidentally ripped off the bridge's seal, releasing the Ghost Lady. Out of fear, she made a deal to spare her life, that she would do anything. So the agreement became to kill 5 people, like how the ghost killed the 5 guys that raped her, every leap year (Feb 29, every 4 years). So PTSD Girl ends up killing the whole group, including her BFF, which causes her much grief and how she developed her mental issues.
Before the 2012 event, PTSD Girl previously dated DeCyuan (Popular Guy), but they broke up due to her mental issues afterwards. Popular Guy later starts dating BoRu (Glasses Girl). Being spiteful, PTSD Girl gets them to participate in the 2016 leap year event as part of the 5 sacrifices. However, PTSD Girl still had feelings for Popular Guy and could not kill him, so she begged him to kill her instead (Brick Scene). With her death, 5 people were killed that year and the ghost was satiated. Popular Guy was released from the event but I think he may have been occasionally forced to go through the loop of the haunted world whenver he slept (sleeping pills on his desk).
After the 2016 ritual event to 2020 where this game first starts, Popular Guy has been doing research and created guides/documents (e.g. the wiki page) for his deceased friends to find as he believes the information and magical artifacts could only be accessed in the nightmare by the non-living (only the other characters were able to wield the sword or get the key items, or encounter the fights/fleeing scenes). He didn't want the ghost to know about his plot either, so he scattered the data around. When the loop we played started, Popular Guy was able to get the team to acquire the seven star sword and also discovered PTSD girl's secret/guilt. With this, he was able to convince PTSD Girl to help him end the curse and free her BFF and everyone else, as he could not participate in the events leading up to, and the final battle.
Once the final battle was done, PTSD girl returns with the Ghost Lady's ring and unofficial marriage document from the ghost world for Popular Guy to bring back into the real world and shed the truth. He disappears from the fog while PTSD Girl remains in it (along with her companions).
Popular Guy successfully gets the truth out about the Ghost Lady and her unofficial husband. They get their family's blessing and an official ghost marriage to remove their regrets and shackles to this world. An exorcism ritual is then performed and the curse is lifted, freeing our protagonists and the BFF from the curse. PTSD girl finds her BFF in the afterlife and they make up plan to talk as much as they can before moving onto the next plane/reincarnate.
