after how the first remake went down……… I wish they made remasters instead. I never played the first game (I was born in 1997) but, I heard that the 1st Remake was basically the SNES game just with up to date graphics
It looks like a PS2 game.
While I’m not the biggest fan of the simplified combat scenes, as long as the level design and core mechanics are intact, day 1. Best FM game finally coming outside of Japan is a pipe dream.
Also, please do tell if the game is running at 60 fps on the Switch of all things. At least the footage seems so.
somehow i kinda wish the animation is more clunky, but with today graphics.
FM3 combat clunkiness graphic was what I really liked. really depicting how the robot (wanzer) of that era moves imo. and the reason i still chose FM3 over FM4 and FM5.
but I really would wait for FM3 if they keep the original story (with probably improved line/lore).

Жду в Стиме на русском языке, иначе не надо. Нинтендо Свич вообще ни у кого нет, это огрызок, если нужна мобильная платформа то айфон или айпад однозначно. Нинтендо покупают либо для детей до 10 лет, либо для домохозяек и игры Весёлая ферма. Целевая аудитории консолей Нинтендо не играет в такой хардкор как Фронт миссион. Гению который решил сделать ремейки Фронт миссион эксклюзивом Свида нужно выдать премию Дарвина и больше никогда не нанимать на работу в отдел аналитики, игра провалится на Свиче, а в Стиме она принесёт огромный капитал разрабам. Мы фанаты ждём игру на пк.

I hope that one day you guys can give some attention to the Spinoffs.
While Gun Hazard is an alternative timeline, it's still amazing in it's detail and gameplay as the true evolution of Cybernator/Valken with ideas from Metal Warriors mixed with rpg levelling. And FM Alternative is quite unique in it's grounded real time strategy squad management as a prequel to the FM main timeline.
PS: Forgot there's the DS release of Border of Madness, an enhanced port of 2 mobile games using FM1st's mechanics.
1st remake was great, I’m waiting for 2nd game.
This really doesn't look like a strong improvement from the first game hopefully it is but still excited about it tho

What we want in FM3 Remake(not remaster):
•Such a great dramatic story
•Realistic graphic and sound not worse like in “Mecharashi (FM2089)”
•Original soundtrack (mb with remixes)
•More arenas and difficulty modes
•More customisation (Colours, geometric shapes, patches/stickers, numbers an text…Because i like how enemy wanzers looks, Purple Haze, Wulong, Imaginary Numbers and other but we play for ugly skins)
•Rework all guns and bags + add new (ability to change color)
•When capturing a wanzer, leave the same weapon, bag pack and paint with stickers of organization
•Rework the in-game internet, it looks terrible in the original (add interactivity to hacking sites, like mini games)
•Dark markets with secret weapons, wanzers, skins)

Sorry, I'm gonna be that guy, but nothing beats the original. I wish we had a proper English translation of the PS1 version; the aesthetic, atmosphere and ambience were incredible and far beyond their time, enjoyed it much more than the 3rd, even though that one was incredible too. This remake looks a little bland, I hope they don't remove the battle animations and keep a lot of the original content. Wonder how many more Japan-only games we're missing out on that are this cool. The only reason to buy a switch is to play this if it's any good, and Front Mission 3.
It wasn't on the eshop yet so I got nervous and looked up any new news. Glad it's still coming out on June 12th. Very excited to play this for the first time. Incredibly welcoming fan base got me really excited for this, after playing the first one.
Something else I noted. The damage numbers colors are off.
In the original the color changed according to the damage type:
White – Piercing
Green – Impact
Red – Fire
It was a nice touch, please fix before release or later through a patch.
8 months ago in past announcements, the graphics looked much better. it's sad that the result is at the level of ps2😢
I'm ready for this. But in all the gameplay I've seen of the original the wanzers move around in the battle scenes. I wonder if thats been removed, for time's sake?

Since the release of the 1st Remake on the Consoles i own i experienced a PERFECT 1:1 Port onto modern systems with modernd graphics and much, MUCH love for the source-material.
You did an amazing job! Impressive!
