Idk I really want to play this game because of how funny it seems
I'd be a lot more interested in the second to last hero tbh
Hmm, I may still be giving this a try on sale. What a great review though, keep this outstanding work up!
I like that upgrade system.
This looks interesting – there have been so many souls likes, i wondered when we'd get a game that deconstructs and pokes fun at them. I like the restoring the graphics to high fidelity thing too – i like it when media has fun with visual styles like that.
Not my kinda game though, but i enjoyed your review, sir!
Thank you for the warning, butter voiced man.
Basically satire failing by not even getting the point of what it was trying to make fun of?
This review would work better if you said THIS IS SPARTAAAAA! Oh that Voice….. 🙂
'Thing but Bad' is a major trap for would-be satire; unless you have enough competent basics and skilled demonstration that you know how to do it well and are choosing when and where to make it messy, it just comes across as not knowing how to do it right. Making jokes that call attention to poor design simply begs the question of why you didn't fix it if you knew about it.
Shame the game itself isn't that great. Sounded like a funny idea
Classic Sebastian Ruiz ripping a game a new one in the first 30s.
this seemed like a hidden gem
To be fair, it's pretty hard to make a good satirical game
If Bethesda made this game: " the bugs and bad level design are definitely satire, it just works"
Thanks for playing Frost 🙏 I think I'll pass on this one after all that 🍻
Another dark souls ripoff? Will this trend ever come to an end? Lol
Looks great in concept, if only it had finished in execution.
Though I'd kind of expect a team with less budget than Dark Souls to not get it completely right, they should still get it mostly right.
I'm shitting my pants but in a satirical way so Im not embarrassed
Gonna have to change these to 4 min reviews, lol
im a petty bastard and i didnt like this game purely based on vibes so im watching this video with the stupidest, shittiest smirk on my face. like an asshole.
A comment to feed engagement to our overlord, the almighty algorithm!
From trailer I got a feeling like the game is trying to laugh at it's own joke, but a theatrical advice: Never laugth with your audience.
This kinda gells with my opinion that an intentionaly bad game is still a bad game
From the words of yahtzee himself "IF. YOU KNOW. IT'S BAD. WHY. ARE. YOU DOING IT?!"
Interesting enough for me to want to play. Not cheap enough to pay.
The problem with good satire is that it has to be held up by a competent, coherent piece of media, as well as genuine love for the thing being satirized. For instance, Galaxy Quest and The Orville both satirize Star Trek and are beloved by Star Trek fans. The Stanley Parable satirizes narrative-heavy video games, while managing to have a deep, meaningful narrative, and Kung Fu Hustle satirizes wuxia films, while still being a fun, action-packed wuxia film. People tend to think making comedy is easy; it isn't. But when it's layered on top of a game, it becomes even harder. I love Soulslikes. I'd love to play a satirical Soulslike, but definitely not this one.
One of those indie ideas you wish had AAA budget and experience backing it up. Instead it finds its niche and then proceeds to both let it down and beat you over the head with it expecting a round of applause as it stands triumphantly over the carcass that once was it's clever idea as blood drips off absolutely everything. The classic difference between a great indie game and an also-ran.
That item upgrade system really is brilliant though.
I could have sworn the game was "The Last Hero of Nostalgia". Must have read it 10 times without noticing.
Umm….lock on? UMMMM??? LOCK ON!?!?!?! Playing this with a friend and having a great time
Totally read the title as last hero of nostalgia. Easy to miss that one extra letter that changes a common word to a unique(tm) name.
Nostalgaia is like nostalgia but misspelled
You have a tv voice 👌thanx for the review ,I won’t be getting this game now
This is actually a great game I can recomend to anyone, I don't know what this guy is on about.
This guy sounds like keith david
I would use this dudes reviews as bedtime stories. What a great voice!
you hate to see it
As a smite player who didn't know of this channel, this was a happy surprise.
