I'm playing it right now and wow, what a great game!!
tbh I really liked the game but if there was anything that I had gripes with I feel like the bad guys never really had a time to shine there quest are like go kill these guys because were bad. There wasn't enough nuance or reasoning behind them they are just the bad guys. Phineas was the clear good guy from the start. They never really gave us enough of a reason to doubt him aside from his failed experiments. I wish the bad guys had more depth and I also wish some of the companions would have commented more on the way of the world as things change. I also wish there was an aftermath to see what things look after you chose the good guys or bad guys… again I like the game overall but I feel like its lacking in some areas
Also Capitalism hasn't collapsed in Fallout cause clearly people are still using currency to buy things if anything Capitalism has outlived everything and is still finding was to suck people dry
I hope outer worlds 2 doesn't loot spam as bad as the first game did. Excessive loot in games have become far too common.
Even today it is one of those games I leave spoiler free and I still need to find out how to make certain things work. I love coming back just to roam through familiar tarrain.
It's better then Starfield
Your points about what makes the game good despite some features being complaints (like shorter completion time) resonated with me as well. I do wish they had added a couple more DLCs, because the Murder mystery one was so fun on its own!

The irony is thick. Obsidian makes a game about late stage capitalism on the verge of collapse. Then gets bought by Microsoft and is now part of Xbox Studios. LOL!!!
The most boring quests are those that go to many planets just to "talk".

Maybe it's just me, but I could not stand Borderlands. The graphics is just.. bland and *blegh*!
Even today, the thought of playing just 15 minutes with any of my children, and it feels like I'm consigned to hard labor.. but I do it to please them. 😀

here because epic games gave away the dlc edition of this, i somehow never played it even though fall out new vegas is one of my alltime favorite games. along with most obsidian games. i am now excited to try it out! getting older we have less and less time to game so its nice that this isnt a giant exploration rpg. i like it confined sometimes
You should drop a new video on this game to take advantage of the current hype because being free on epic. Cause a lot of people probably sort videos by a recent ish time frame when they want to check something out.

past fallout and elder scrolls games always seemed overwhelming ot me, this game was "short" and striaght forward i actually loved it and enjoyed the "sumbed down" elements that many fallout fans came to dislike it for, which is a shame cuz clealry there's an audiance for it like me
