You deserve waaaay more subs my man.
Really well scripted and edited.
I have this game, I should finish it sometime. I wasn't that excited for it though because the dungeons felt very basic, just straight hallways and square rooms with either mobs or chests. The character interraction part is an interesting twist but the pacing is so different it feels like two separate games. Persona 3/4/5 is similar being a life sim / dungeon crawler but it doesn't have this issue for me so I think it's worth comparing. Persona's combat is turn based and methodical, and the life sim aspect is brief most of the time, with a lot of the plot tying in directly to the dungeon, so they end up complementing each other. Tokyo Xanadu on the other hand has long character conversations that have little to do with the greeds, followed by fast paced action dungeons. They just didn't mix well in this case. I still want to finish the game one day though.
For me the biggest plus is it has towa
That automobile made it my favorite thing to play for awhile
I have an extra bias with this being my first Falcom game but honestly I really hope Falcom does come back and give this another look again in a possible sequel
They could really improve on the flow of the combat and writing and seriously have something special here!
Great video Rio! I agree and love every point you put into this video
I also like The legend of Ys Trails of Kou Cristian
They Also could have called this Game Towakyo Xanadu EX+
This game feels a lot like a mashup of Ys and Trails, so you can't go wrong if you are a fan of those.
The battle system seemed to be a prototype of the more refined Ys VIII. It's fun and the difficulty level was pretty good balanced for me.
I'd be in for a successor, Falcom should generally put out some other series besides Ys and Trails again. Xanadu Next would also be an interesting candidate for a sequel.
Playing this is a really good time.
A shame it hasn't become a third pillar for Falcom alongside Trails and Ys, as I think it's has some great potential. The after-story seams to have left open the idea of a sequel though so maybe one day?
Algorithm actually doing a good job for once, good stuff my guy
you hooked me within the first 45 seconds! Sorry to have to leave your video so early but I've suddenly got a new game to buy. Rest assured, I'll at least like and comment on the video. It's the least I can do.
I was just thinking of this game very underrated. As much as I love this game I don't trust falcom as a company to cater to fans in the west. We are like at least 5 games behind in the trails series and if tokyo xanadu does get a sequel we won't likely get to play it until 2028.

It's too bad that Nihon Falcom isn't taking as much advantage of the Switch current popularity as they should given the fact that they've started porting their games there.
This game really caught me off gaurd with how good it was, I don't play Ys but I love Trails and this just reminded me of if Trails was a Action RPG game. Not to say I would prefer Trails to be action because I actually really like Trails battle system as it is.
Dang I thought nobody else played this. I'm glad to see this game is still attracting new fans
I see this game as being a mix between Ys (which I'm not a huge fan of) and the Trails Series (which I'm a massive fan of) so I'm definitely gonna check it out
The characters feel like a rehash from the Cold Steel 1 & 2. Down to the last details.
Now it coming to Nintendo Switch
I really hope that the Switch version comes to the West
So, it's a Persona like. Got it, purchasing the switch version when it comes out (was recently announced).
I love The Legend of Heroes, so I will try this one.
This game reminds me of Persona 5
