I like bright colors and a lot of things on screen but sometimes there is just too much bright and too many graphics in a game and it just looks worse for trying. Plant life in a lot of games is getting ridiculous. Less graphics more interactivity on my interactive media please.

I could not disagree more about the color of this game. I think it was brilliant. I didn't have any issue seeing the enemies at all.
Good ol Obsidian. Yeah the graphics/color/style not my fav and take getting used to…but the RPG'ness of it is soooo good. I was turned off for a long time about this game's visual presentation, but putting that aside its surprisingly good given a chance.
Played this on gamepass (PC). Couldn't finish it. Installed it twice, but both times I got bored and uninstalled it. It just didn't click for me at all. The first few hours are great, then it just feels really repetitive after that.
Good game, but not great. Honestly I still think Fallout games are better rpgs. This was not the Bethesda killer everyone said it was. Had a lot of fun playing the game, but it has a lot of flaws and really only shines in the dialogue.
Yeah, I think it looks like a child's crayon drawing too. It's just too colorful, and saturated. More worrisome, is how weak and shallow this is, for an Obsidian game. It seems like they've lost all their talented writers, and have begun the route of hiring for diversity sake, instead of talent.
I killed Vicar before I even knew he is a possible companion. No regerts.

man i didnt like the 90s movie insight ending thought it was bullshit. side note: after nearly a day worth of gameplay time on side missions i thought enough was enough. didnt do a single side quest in biz whatever tf and just stormed in and killed every guard. so much god damn back tracking. all the hours worth of xp just to get destroyed by the hope guards and the prison guards/boss was an absolute slap in the face. great experience, but man wtf. hours upon hours just to reach level 30+ and still get pummeled.

This game was boring for me. Played it once and never again. Think they messed up not making it one big open world.
Playing this at the moment. I'm also not a fan of the looks of the game. I can't really explain. It just looks too artificial for my taste. I did a playthrough of Fallout 3 not 2 months ago and I must say, so far, that older game, with all its quirks, ranks way higher for me.
what i dislike about this game is that you spend all the time making your character look a certain way but there is no way to see your character beyond your menu . you never see your character in a cutscene and you cant switch to 3rd person like in fallout. so what is the point of character creation in a game where you never see your own character.
This game is heavily discounted and I think I ll give it a try. Thanks for the honest review.
I went out of my way to put the two women together and then killed the non companion one as soon as it was all over, right in front of the Indian. Then I killed her after convincing her to stick around. 100/10, game of the year. Annoying wholesome tumblr twat killer simulator

I just recently started playing this and googled issues with the games colours, its not just that everything looks "oversaturated" the game legit looks like you've enabled HDR on – with a non-HDR-capable monitor. The dynamic range is completely messed up. Is there somethiong in the settings or online to fix this?

I loved the game but later on in the game I did get bored of it tbh. After like 30 hours or so I just got tired of it because it was too repetitive but game was really good.

I hated this game. Having replayed Fallout 4 recently that was much more enjoyable. I know people hate on Fallout 4 but 3 and NV just feel too old now I don't enjoy them half as much as I did in 2008 and 2010, which is when they came out. It's just a shame TES and Fallout are my favourite series because I'll be waiting a long time for Fallout 5 and TES 6.
I got the game after I saw this review. I have to admit it is spot on.
I tried replaying it, but the few times I did, I got bored with it quickly. Maybe Outer Worlds tries to be too goofy for its own good. They address serious issues with a flippant approach. Like they want to show corporate (capitalist) exploitation, then shy away from the seriousness by making it into a farce.
X-ray vision is a persistent plague. Some games even provide you with radar to show exactly where your enemies are. I don't mind if you want to play a game that way, but at least have the option to turn it off for other players and especially in RPGs: it just spoils the immersion.
In obsidians defense they say they had a limited budget for this game. I think they did great with what they had.
I listen to opinions on games to buy from a variety of sources, I have to. That said, I DEPEND on Worth A Buy's opinions, not as a strict buying guide, but as a good expose of what to expect. He said the one thing I needed to hear about this game to know to buy. I can kill anyone.
Played this with a monochrome high contrast reshade, only way I could play it!
I really enjoyed how rewarding taking the time to read into the lore was. So much more of the game unlocks when you take the time to read every terminal, every note.
my favorite feature of RPGs is unmonitored tasks, or side quests within the side quest. There is so much of that featured in this game.

Man, finally playing this on game pass and damn is it a let down. First of all, it's barely an RPG when they so clearly dictate what they want you to do at every step. The exploration is laughable and combat is bland. I killed the whole town of Edgewater and told Parvati to fuck off so I could create my own story and lose all that bs I saw coming from a mile away. The graphics suck too and I'm not even a graphics guy. Just not a great RPG any way you cut it
