Aqui está nossa crítica de Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life. Happy gaming! Glen
Allowing for relationships is always a nice addition to games, but being FORCED to get married is such a shockingly terrible game mechanic to include. Are we going to be forced to consummate as well? Shotgun wedding plus extremely linear gameplay in a farming sim equals me skipping this one entirely. Great review, mediocre game.
I have HUGE nostalgia for this game, as I played it on the Gamecube. Can’t wait to replay it
Was really looking forward to this one but also tempted by Everdream Valley. It’s the age-old battle of nostalgia vs grotesque milking minigame
Sounds like a pass for me. I think we’ve advanced beyond this as a society. Thank you for helping me make the decision! The visuals look great but aside of that I’m not sure this is bringing anything to the table.
For me, that price point is way too high for such an old game. Certainly compared to everdream valley that a lovely modern cozy sandbox game that’s £10 cheaper and 40% more cheap if you own one of the games other games. Nope defo not the game for me.
I've been waiting for this since it was announced but now have been turned off by it after seeing this and other gameplay videos. I don't want to be forced down a path of marriage, so I may just get Everdream Valley, which I hope you do a review of, because it looks a nicer and cosier experience
Loved it on the GameCube, seeing my wife again in the game trailer was weirdly emotional!
Did you guys get a review code for AEW fight forever?
Non-binary? Man I'm SICK of this woke shit in games
Mine is coming in today!
Can't wait to play it again 🙂
There is one good aspect that comes from the linearity: each event in your character's life is more important and impactful, such as your child growing up and developing accordingly to how you raise them, so if you show them farming a lot they'll like that, or ranching, or if you bring them to hang with the artist, archeologist, etc
Great review. I am new to story of seasons and love life sim games. Can’t work out if it’s worth the higher price. I will consider for a couple more days before spending my birthday money.
$70 CAD is to much for what is being offered. Will wait for a sale 😊 thanks for the review
It looks like shit! Makes Pokemon Scarlet/Violet look amazing in comparison.
I love how society has gotten to the point where we have to describe Harvest Moon games in terms of Stardew Valley instead of the other way around.
I've never gotten married in any farming/life sim game so this will be a pass for me. That being said, I'm excited for everyone else that gets to play a childhood favorite again.
I'm pretty sure I played this when it was on gamecube and kind of bounced off it. I remember my cow stopped producing milk and child me could not figure out why or how to fix it
I just got the game for the switch but cannot for the life of me figure out how to save my game. I’ve tried the + and – and everything in between (I think). Sorry this is such a juvenile question for this old woman. Any help is appreciated
I saw this advertised on Steam. Looks good, but it makes me sad that the family life I could have in game will probably never happen for me in real life. Imagine marrying a good woman and being happy together.
I don’t do the whole marriage thing on these type of games, so think I’ll pass! Thinking of getting Everdream Valley instead, plus it’s cheaper 😂
I’m going to miss having Flora, Carter and Griffin as marriage candidates
Sucks
the graphic is just so bad. why not just do 2d if u cant do 3d properly TT^TT
Thank you for mentioning about the forced marriage part! Now I know this game is not for me. I always prefer the grind to the romance aspects with games like these, hence why my favourite is Doraemon Friends of The Great Kingdom! (although many people seem to dislike it ahaha)
DOUBT HERE I just wanted to know once you grow old your kid takes care of the farm or does the game end there? Like you're old and you have to start all over again?
Eh got it but regret getting it. Honestly Story of Seasons was SUPPOSED to be Superior to Harvest Moon yet honestly they're both just as bad. Rune Factory is the only worth anything in this series anymore.
I'm excited that socializing and family is the focus of this game. There's no end to the list of farming games that offer experiences where you can completely ignore that so im glad this one is more about the passage of time and the life of a person than farming. I think the shorter seasons might be a fun spin to keep things fresh for me.
