Missed out on Sunset Riders
I picked up my Genesis quite late in the game. A swap meet actually, in 1998. It came bundled with the Sega CD and a bunch of games. Sadly I ended up selling the Sega CD portion and only have kept the Genesis. I absolutely love the system to this day … So many amazing memories of playing the "Six pack" game cartridge, hours and hours of Golden Axe and Sonic. … And my all time fav Genesis game, Columns.

Haven't played some big classics like Golden Axe and Phantasy Star IV yet. Its nice always having a Genesis game to knock off the list. Shows how good of a console it was if I'm still getting new experiences out of it.
Gotta put Mortal Kombat and NBA Jam on my list along with both Sonic games and X-Men. And I played the hell out of Tiny Toons: Buster's Hidden Treasure. That's an underrated game.
I took my gf to the arcades and moonwalker was there we laughed so much while I was playing it thoses memories and games really don't leave us
Earthworm Jim, Comix Zone, Shinobi 3 and Vectorman are some of my faves, as well as MK ultimate 3.

Dune: The Battle for Arrakis was heavily underrated.
I agree with some of your list but think games like Moonwalker and X-men are just mediocre at best and would replace them with Thunder Force 4 and Castelvania.
tbh i think thunder force 3 shadow dancer golden axe 3 and even mega bomberman kinda deserved to be in this list
Great to see Alien Storm on this list. One of my all time favorites that is rarely ever recognized on youtube.
Solid list! For me, I would get rid of Alien Storm and Moonwalker though. I would replace them with Thunderforce IV and Phantasy Star IV. And then I would trade Rocket Knight Adventures with Castlevania Bloodlines for my Konami game, and replace Sonic 2 with Sonic 3 & Knuckles. But it's all preference!

Id not put any of these on my top list apart from The Revenge of Shinobi
I'd go with Shadow Dancer, Strider, Mickey Mouse Castle of Illusion, Super Monaco GP I, Phelios, Thunder Force 3 and 4 even Castlevania if that's your sort of game
among a few others well in advance of any of these.

In 1995 The Playstation was popular but that was the year I bought a Sega Genesis. Up until then, my only console was the NES.
I owned 6/7 and played 9/10 of these and I’m pretty sure non of these would be in my top 10, but nothing “blasphemous” either.
And Streets of Rage 2, Aladdin, Street Fighter 2 Champion Edition, Castlevania Bloodlines? Those are essential top 10 for the Genesis. Terrible list.

So many top 10 Genesis lists have Sonic 1 & 2 on them but never Sonic 3 & Knuckles, which is easily the best of the Sonics. It's strange seeing that one omitted from this since MJ did the music on that one as well. More levels, better music, better bonus stages, knuckles, etc..
