  • I remember playing that old game, and I loved it so much I played it multiple times. The story, characters, and plot twists still linger in my mind to this very day

  • I'm definitely going to pick this up eventually, but it comes out the same day as Master Detective Archives!

  • strong contender for my favourite mystery game of all time. the story, art style, puzzles are all so fantastic. one of the few games that i would say without a doubt deserves a 10/10

  • I bought it day one on DS after playing the special Christmas Demo and it was one of my best gaming experiences. I am buying it again in physical thanks to importing it from Amazon Japan. Great review for a great game. I already knew it would be good but I just like hearing this game getting praises haha.
Nice narration from Zion and great review by Kate. Thank you for your hard work 👍.

  • Awesome game! I played it on my 11” iPad before it was announced for Switch, & it ran & looked great on it. I wonder is the Switch version a port of the iOS/mobile version then?
The music, characters, story & style of the game is great & I highly recommend it to anyone!

  • I guess we can say in a sense shu takumi is like the Japanese version of m night shyamalan the thing they both have in common is there both masters of plot twists

  • Glad to hear that it still holds up! This was one of my favorite games on the 3DS.

  • Looks like they also sped up the game's frame rate. I actually like that as the original's frame rate made story progression unnecessarily slow in some spots. However, that also means things will seem too fast for some, like body language from the characters having less of a comedic impact.

  • It’s an incredible game, although it’s a bit odd when playing on a TV screen as all the text is huge. It’s best enjoyed in handheld mode for anyone playing it for the first time. Nice review.

  • I played this a lot as a child and I loved every second of it the story, characters, style etc. The fact they remastered it bringing the games to not only the other consoles but a nice resolution and framerate, and yes I got the switch version had to come full circle considering it was my most played ds game that wasn't Pokemon.

  • I read title as ghost truck phantom drifter. The disappointment.
Edit: Double checked. It IS posted as ghost truck 🤣

  • I replay the game every year and the story, characters, animation and stellar soundtrack blow me away each time. 1000% worth it. (It's also the perfect game to play at night)

  • I remember back in the day, this game on the DS didn't capture my attention a whole lot, but after hearing so much about it months after its release, I simply had to grab a physical copy. Going to several game stores and being told there were no copies left, I was fortunate enough to find one last, sealed copy at a Best Buy. Playing it later in the day, I was completely spellbound at how engrossing the characters were and how amazingly structured the narrative was as a whole. I didn't regret my purchase back then and I plan on getting it for the Switch as well, even though it appears that physical copies appear to be only imports presently.

  • Credibility -999 after buying it based on ur review…. sooooooo boring imma die… amazing story telling? Is this the first story u guys ever heard or what the fudge is going on?!?😂

  • Ghost trick is so amazing, Im wanting to buy it just to replay a story I already know from top to bottom. Is THAT good of a game. Honestly, buying a copy even if you already experienced this master piece is worth it to show the creators the love we have for this game. For everyone who hasnt played it and are looking for opinions about it: just look at all of the comments here. It IS that good of a game.

  • This game has some of the best storytellling in all of gaming. If you’re a fan of Ace Attorney and the twists thrown in there, you’ll be extremely surprised. Even though it’s been 6 years since I last played it, a good chunk of the tale has stuck with me.

  • Definitely worth it. Holds up really up today as well and i had a blast playing it all over again.

Now maybe in the near future we coild get a upgraded re-released Trauma Center series on the switch.

  • its SO good, plus the demo is the first 2 chapters so you can really get a taste if youre nervous going all in buying the game too

  • While I wholeheartedly agree with everything in this review, I must remark ONE specific downgrade in the ports due to the removal of the second screen; but since it's a bit spoilerific (it's a game mechanic) then I'll comment on it further down.

    [SPOILERS NOW]

The second screen in the DS version also showed a picture of the object you were possessing. At first this felt like an amusing way to fill space… HOWEVER, later in the game you will obtain a new Ghost Trick power and it heavily relies on the SHAPE of the objects that you possess. Some of these objects are VERY SMALL, so checking the second screen was a great help to appreciate the SHAPE of the object. This is not possible in the port, and thus a couple specific puzzles may become a little bit frustrating because we are meant to "know" the general shape of very small objects to affect.

That's all, really. The rest of the game is a heavenly experience that I enjoyed all over again, and I'm so glad that I did.
